In 2013, Kathleen Davies decided to put her 20+ years of sales and marketing experience behind her true passion – helping the incredible distillers in isolated areas of Australia get the attention they deserve. The result was Nip of Courage, a distributor for and community of Australian craft spirit producers.
With the help of some of the brilliant distillers in the Nip of Courage network, Kathleen launched The Aussie Tipple Company in 2017, the first bottled cocktail range to feature Australian artisan distillers and local producers. The Aussie Tipple collection not only supports small batch distillers, but gives people who value quality, provenance and taste an easy way to do cocktails at home.
We don’t like to over complicate things at Aussie Tipple, which is why our bottled cocktail collection is made up of the classics – The Negroni, The Dry Martini and The White Rye Espresso Martini.
Our cocktail recipes were developed by some of our favourite Aussie bartenders, and feature locally-sourced ingredients and native botanicals used by our artisan producers. The result is a range of timeless cocktails, each with a uniquely Australian character.
A meaningful purpose
At The Aussie Tipple Company, we aim to increase awareness of the wonderful craft distillers in Australia, many of whom are rurally based. We also work to help our country’s farmers, who not only provide the food on our table, but also the raw materials needed to make local craft spirits. This is why we donate $1 from every Aussie Tipple cocktail purchase to the Timboon Distillery Hay Runners, who strive to help farmers in hardship due to circumstances like flood and drought.
On the back of our bottles, you’ll find the stories behind the distillers who make the artisan spirits used in your cocktail. Supporting these regional producers helps stimulate our economy and create more jobs in isolated regions. Plus, they make some pretty bloody delicious grog.
